Chemclear Invest in Life Saving Technology

Chemclear have invested in two potential life savers.

The chemical cleaning specialists have introduce an innovative communication system and a high-tech defibrillator.

Chemclear founder Chris Jones is continually looking to invest in technology that will create safer working spaces to protect engineers.

He said: “Communication within confined spaces are often a problem and too many people are prepared to compromise but I will not put our team at risk.

Hazardous

“Hand signals or muffled voices are simply not acceptable when operatives are working in hazardous conditions and tight spaces.

“Our investment in an atex hard-wired comms unit allows clear and unambiguous communication between tank and safety men.

“This is particularly important when operatives are working out of site.

“Throat mics and a single ear piece are placed inside the tank to prevent any impact on the BA equipment.”

As well as the communication kit, Chemclear have purchased a high-tech mobile automated external defibrillator, or AED.

The equipment will travel with the Chemclear team on all deployments for use in life-threatening cardiac dysrhythmias.

It delivers a dose of electric current – or counter shock – to the heart in that hope that the heart muscle resumes normal activity.

Medical Assistance

Chris, added: “We hope we never need to use the AED but it provides peace of mind for our team and might save someones life.

“We are fully trained to provide medical assistance and we regularly attend refresher courses or first aiding seminars.

“I attended one recently which discussed treatments for heart attack victims. It really hit home and the benefit of having an AED available in the event of such an emergency was clear to me so I decided to invest.

“It provides an extra level of protection and allows us to potentially save a life.”

Chemclear provide specialist chemical cleaning services to clients around the UK and that includes working with hazardous substances, toxic waste and in difficult circumstances.

They are fully qualified to provide medical assistance and first aid and now have additional layers of equipment to protect staff, clients and members of the public.
